Ms. Pryor appears to lend her support to ending the fighting between LPNs and RNs-until she says she'd like to see all LPN/LVN programs ended in the United States and replaced with a 24-month nursing program with a new name. This isn't how you end the fighting.

As LPNs, we're well trained within our scope of practice, have passed certifying courses, including state board exams, and expanded our knowledge base by earning continuing-education credits. We're often the ones who keep busy nursing units running because we know our jobs and have the skills to do them well. Other nurses can't do everything just because they have an alphabet soup of initials behind their names.
