Abstract
ABSTRACT: This research investigated the spiritual care educational preparation that nursing students perceive they have received as they transition to practice. A survey using the Spirituality and Spiritual Care Rating Scale and interviews with senior BSN students at a Christian university demonstrated students' perceptions that their spiritual care education focused primarily on the practice of presence, emphasis on prayer, and the integration of faith in the curricula. Survey results showed a strong perception of readiness to provide spiritual care as graduate nurses.
