In June, the International Academy of Nursing Editors (INANE) established the Nursing Journal Hall of Fame "to recognize scholarly nursing journals that have 50 or more years of continuous publication and sustained contributions to nursing knowledge."
The American Journal of Nursing, established in 1900, was selected as one of 13 inaugural journals. The journals represent an international cross section of scholarly publications in various specialties. An awards ceremony was held on August 7 at the annual INANE meeting.
