This feature highlights the contributions and achievements in the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA) Cardiovascular and Stroke Nursing (CVSN) Council, in addition to providing information about upcoming 2018 AHA/ASA opportunities. Individuals who made important achievements in research, practice, and service were recognized at the 2017 Scientific Sessions held in Anaheim, CA, during the CVSN Annual Meeting. The contributions of these clinicians and scientists, and their commitment to the AHA/ASA, significantly impact improvements in cardiovascular disease and stroke outcomes. We applaud our 2017 newly elected fellows and award winners and provide information for readers to prepare for their applications and nominations in 2018.
