Thanks so much for your comments. I would agree that it would be reasonable to have clients with LSIL follow up with repeat Paps prior to colposcopy. The 2001 guidelines published in JAMA, (2002, 287(16), p. 2125), comment on the high percentage of these clients that are lost to follow up, and for this reason I chose the more aggressive management. Your point is quite valid, however.
