The Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy continues to be the destination of numerous submissions and source of many citations. We received over 200 submissions in 2017-of which 180 were entered into the peer-review system. These reviewed submissions represent an increase of over 40% compared with 2016. Manuscripts originated from the United States and 32 other countries. Of papers for which final disposition was determined in 2017, 31.5% were accepted. Journal Citation Reports indicate a 2016 impact factor of 1.510 for the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy. SCImago ranks the Journal in the top 50% of geriatrics and gerontology (50/105) and rehabilitation (41/115) journals.

Reviewing the manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Geriatric Physical Therapy involves the coordinated efforts of the Journal's Editor, Associate Editors, and Reviewers. Ann Medley joined the Journal as an Associate Editor in 2017. She is a most welcome addition to Bill Andrews, Kerstin Palombaro, Kevin Chui, and Robert Wellmon, who continue to faithfully execute their editorial roles. In addition to myself and the Associate Editors, the 92 Editorial Board members and Reviewers listed below each reviewed 1 or more manuscripts for the Journal in 2017.
