Turning Knowledge into Action is the theme for the 37th CAET National Conference, May 3-6, 2018, to be held in Victoria, British Columbia. This year's conference education program will provide participants with sessions on such forward-thinking topics including the unique position of the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) community in healthcare and the new legislation impacting medical cannabis use.
Tania Dick, President of the Association of Registered Nurses of British Columbia, will be the opening plenary speaker discussing Aboriginal health. Tania hails from the Dzawada'enuxw First Nation of Kingcome Inlet, British Columbia. Tania has practiced as a registered nurse in British Columbia for 12 years. She has spent her entire career in rural and remote nursing specializing in emergency and Aboriginal health.
