Ostomy Care

Ostomy Care Guides. Published by the United Ostomy Association, these booklets address how to live with an ostomy. Although these booklets were designed for ostomy patients and their caregivers, health care personnel can gain insight from the content to aid in answering patients' questions. Booklets that were written, reviewed, and updated by WOC(ET) nurses include Colostomy Guide, Ileostomy Guide, Urostomy Guide, and Continent Urostomy Guide. A fifth booklet in the series, Ileoanal Reservoir, was printed last year. The newest booklet is Intimacy, Sexuality and an Ostomy.
