In March of 2006 we began our podcast adventure. Partnering with Science Audio we published the Editor's Note, Abstracts and President's Message in audio format. We also added commentaries on selected articles and commentaries in the authors' own voices. After completing one year we are pleased to see that the podcasts have aided our dissemination efforts.

The data on podcast use are compelling. Over 1,500 people world wide have accessed JNPT podcasts. The number of listeners has increased every issue (Figure 1). Listeners are all over the world (Figure 2). Most listeners download the entire podcast and continue to download podcasts long after the issue was published.

We plan to continue podcasting in 2007. Of course we have ideas to increase the interactive nature of the journal. Stay tuned.
