Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is a significant health problem in industrialized nations and the second most common reason patients seek health care. Eighty-five percent of all people will experience back pain, which often becomes chronic. This article evaluates scientific studies from 1997 to 2001 regarding treatments for chronic LBP.
