National Examination. The National Examination for Board Certification in Wound Management from the American Academy of Wound Management (AAWM) will be held October 18, 2003 (materials deadline, September 5), at selected testing centers nationwide. Applicants for certification must achieve a passing score on the examination to earn the designation of Certified Wound Specialist (CWS). Multidisiciplinary questions cover general knowledge, anatomy, pathophysiology, diagnosis, physiology, therapeutics, and psychosocial topics.
