*Mepilex Transfer. This soft, silicone dressing is designed for large, exuding, and difficult-to-dress wounds, such as oncologic wounds and wounds related to epidermolysis bullosa. It transfers exudate away from the wound and minimizes the risk for maceration. Mepilex Transfer can also be used as protection on large areas with fragile skin, minimizing trauma to the wound and pain to the patient during dressing changes. Thin and conformable, the dressing ensures direct contact with the wound and the surrounding skin, including uneven surfaces. As the Safetac layer seals around the wound, the foam structure of Mepilex Transfer allows the exudate to move vertically into a secondary absorbent pad. Available in 15 x 20 cm and 20 x 50 cm sizes.

*Mepore Pro. This showerproof, self-adhesive, absorbent dressing is designed for moderately exuding surgical wounds, lacerations, and abrasions. The vapor-permeable film coating protects the wound from water and contamination, as well as protects clothing and bed linen from blood or exudate strike through. The polyacrylate adhesive has been designed to be gentle to the skin but provide secure fixation. The dressing area is also protected with a release liner, and the absorbent wound pad has a low-adherent coating to prevent trauma during dressing changes. Available in 6 x 7, 9 x 10, 9 x 15, 9 x 20, 9 x 25, and 9 x 30 cm sizes.

ProGuide. This reduced multilayer high-compression bandaging system is clinically proven to consistently achieve the right level of compression to effectively and successfully manage venous leg ulcers. The system comes in 3 sizes to accommodate different ankle circumferences and consists of an easy-to-apply, advanced, nonadherent wound contact layer; a superabsorbent padding layer; and an innovative, patented, outer compression layer incorporating Vari-Stretch technology.

Versiva. Designed to provide an optimal moisture balance that supports the wound healing process in exuding wounds, Versiva consists of a perforated skin-friendly adhesive layer, a hydrofiber technology layer, a spread layer, and a polyurethane-coated foam-film layer. The combination of a foam-film outer layer with a hydrofiber technology layer allows the Versiva dressing to maintain an optimally balanced moist wound-healing environment. The foam-film layer allows for moisture vapor transmission, and the hydrofiber technology layer locks in moisture and provides vertical wicking to keep excess fluid away from the skin, helping to avoid maceration.
Versiva can be used on chronic and acute wounds that are open and exuding, including pressure ulcers, leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, and postoperative wounds. Because fluid is locked into the hydrofiber layer, Versiva is also an ideal dressing for use under compression.

SilvaSorb Gel. The first controlled-release antimicrobial silver hydrogel designed to reduce infectious bacteria and help promote wound healing, SilvaSorb Gel combines the ability of a hydrogel to maintain a moist wound-healing environment with the benefits of sustained-release antimicrobial silver. SilvaSorb Gel is an amorphous gel that is easy to spread and is completely biocompatible. It is nonirritating, nonsensitizing, and will not harm new granulation tissue.
FIGURE
Similar to the other SilvaSorb wound dressings, SilvaSorb Gel features MicroLattice technology, continuously releasing ionic silver for up to 3 days. Released in small amounts, the ionic silver in SilvaSorb Gel does not damage tissue and is an effective and fast-acting antimicrobial against a broad spectrum of microorganisms. Available in a 1.5-fluid ounce tube that allows for multiple applications for a single patient.

HEALTHPOINT, Ltd
OASIS Burn Matrix. Designed specifically for burn patients, OASIS Burn Matrix provides a supportive environment that allows healing of superficial and partial-thickness (second-degree) burns. OASIS Burn Matrix is based on SIS Technology, a naturally derived, extracellular matrix created from the submucosal layer of porcine small intestine. The submucosa provides strength to the intestine through a complex organization of structural and functional proteins and other molecules that form a 3-dimensional matrix. Submucosa is extracted in a manner that removes all cells but leaves the complex matrix intact. This natural matrix supports the body's healing process by providing an acellular scaffold that accommodates remodeling of host tissue. OASIS Burn Matrix includes an increased matrix thickness that may extend application time, which may result in decreased application frequency and less pain for the burn patient.

ACTISORB Silver 220 Antimicrobial Binding Dressing. The first dressing to combine broad-spectrum antimicrobial action, bacterial toxin management, and odor control, ACTISORB Silver 220 dressing has been proven effective in vitro against more than 150 clinically relevant wound pathogens, including antibiotic-resistant strains such as Staphylococcus aureus and vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus. ACTISORB Silver 220 dressing may help reduce infection in partial- and full-thickness wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, superficial (first-degree) and partial-thickness (second-degree) burns, donor sites, and surgical wounds. It is also suitable for use under compression bandaging.
ACTISORB Silver 220 dressing should not be used on full-thickness (third-degree) burns or on patients with known sensitivity to silver.
