Abstract
The American Pain Society (APS) has recently published guidelines for treating osteoarthritis (OA). These guidelines represent a powerful tool to help the nurse practitioner establish appropriate treatment options for patients suffering from OA. This review synthesizes scientific and clinical evidence that supports the various treatment options available for OA.
