American Professional Wound Care Association

The American Professional Wound Care Association recently announced that one of its board members, Barbara Delmore, PhD, RN, CWCN, MAPWCA, IIWCC-NYU, was appointed to the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel's (NPUAP) Board of Directors. In her role with the NPUAP, she will help to develop policy and set organizational goals for the panel.

World Union of Wound Healing Societies

At the Fifth Congress of theWorld Union ofWound Healing Societies (WUWHS) in Florence, Italy, several awards were presented to wound care professionals from all corners of the world. The award sponsored by the WUWHS was "The Most Progressive Society," and the first place winner was the International Skin Tear Advisory Panel (ISTAP). Co-chairpersons of ISTAP are Kimberly LeBlanc, MN, RN, CETN(C); and Sharon Baranoski, MSN, RN, CWCN, APN-CCNS, FAAN, who are also members of the Advances in Skin & Wound Care Editorial Advisory Board. In addition, ISTAP panel member Diane Langemo, PhD, RN, FAAN, is an Advances in Skin & Wound Care board member.
