Abstract

Along with crisis training, nurses need to have compassion and be sensitive to the triggers of suicide. The manner in which a nurse views suicidal issues may have a favorable role in preventing a patient's future attempts.1 Nurses should reflect if there is any negative stigma regarding suicidal behavior that would impact their ability to help those in need.
