With less than two years' experience as a nurse, I agree with one rapid response team (RRT) member's comment that "it is a very rich learning environment" ("The Benefits of Rapid Response Teams: Exploring Perceptions of Nurse Leaders, Team Members, and End Users," March), but only if a debriefing is held afterward (or even within the next 48 hours). This is not always done at my facility, so I often feel as if learned concepts are not reinforced. As a result, I do not always completely understand the rationale for certain interventions.
