Article Content

The purpose of this feature is to highlight the contributions and the expertise of the members of the American Heart Association's (AHA) Council on Cardiovascular and Stroke Nursing (CVSN). The CVSN acknowledges significant achievements in research, clinical practice, and service by recognizing individuals who have made notable contributions to improving the health of those with cardiovascular disease and stroke. These awards provide professional recognition to the nurse scientists, clinicians, and allied health professionals who have made a lifelong commitment to improve cardiovascular and stroke science, knowledge, and care. The awards are presented at AHA Scientific Sessions annually and include special presentations at AHA conferences along with financial rewards. The CVSN encourages the dissemination of scholarship and science and applauds the 2015 winners.
