New Editorial Board Chair
For starters, George W. Sledge, Jr., MD, Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Oncology at Stanford University, has added OT Editorial Board Chair to his title. You're already familiar with Sledge's popular "Musings of a Cancer Doctor" column; his writing has been recognized with an APEX Award for Publication Excellence and a FOLIO: Eddie Honorable Mention award. Sledge will continue to write this column while he provides leadership, guidance and expertise to our OT team.
New Look
We've also enhanced the look of Oncology Times in print. With enriched graphics, distinguishable content topics and new column format, we hope you find this update more visually appealing.
UpToDate
And speaking of update, new this month, UpToDate(R) and Oncology Times are collaborating to present exclusive content synopses on "What's New in Oncology." UpToDate(R) is an evidence-based, clinical support resource used worldwide by healthcare practitioners to make decisions at the point-of-care. This information will be included in print and online and updated often.
CME
In the January 10 issue we also began offering continuing medical education for a selection of articles. Look for a new CME feature each month, with instructions on how to easily complete the exercise and submit for your CME credits.
More to Come
The changes don't end there. Detailed pharmacy perspectives and physician-friendly, case study-based learning columns are underway. In fact, if you're interested in contributing a breast cancer, lung cancer, or melanoma case study for consideration, please contact me at mailto:[email protected]. We're looking for a minimum of 1,000 words, including images, and are happy to provide writers' guidelines.
