I guess these nurses do not like the idea of judges and juries setting the legal standard of care for nurses instead of nurses defining the standard of care for themselves. Doctors, hospitals, drug manufacturers, medical device manufacturers, etc., have all learned to live with the jury system, like it or not.
The whole point of our newsletter is to fill a void that existed with respect to legal information for nurses. We see it as our mission to inform nurses how judges and juries are defining the legal standard of care for nurses, which we did in the article you reprinted. We only have one legal standard of care, the one defined by judges and juries.
