Abstract

Hotel foods have been largely ignored yet may contribute to frequent travelers' overall dietary composition and quality. Dietary quality and variety of complimentary breakfasts were examined at 8 of 20 of the most popular hotels in the United States. The results highlight several recommendations for improving hotel breakfasts, such as offering leaner protein and nonfat dairy options and vegetables.
