This government website covers the spectrum of mental illnesses, including posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, anxiety disorders, and more. Besides listing the basics of mental health, it provides links to information about specific disorders grouped into categories. For example, anxiety disorders is an umbrella description that covers obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, phobias, and PTSD. Special features on this website include help for young people and resources for treatment and emergency care.

Active Minds was created by a University of Pennsylvania student in 2003. Over the past 10 years, this organization has spread across the country to over 400 campuses with the mission of improving mental health for young adults.
Through awareness campaigns, conferences, and more, this organization helps young adults, specifically college students, speak openly about mental illness and encourages them to seek help if needed.
National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)

NAMI's website lists some of the most common mental illnesses and their signs and symptoms, risk factors, treatment options, and printable fact sheets, which can be used as patient-teaching material. One section helps patients find a NAMI local affiliate.

Project Atlas is part of the World Health Organization's Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Its purpose is to collect, disseminate, and distribute data on mental health and neurology resources around the world. Part of its mission is to highlight disparities in the availability of mental health resources to enhance treatment options and access.
