Abstract
ABSTRACT: Researchers have found that spiritual care of patients is important to healing. For Christian healthcare providers, spiritual care is a natural extension of their faith and life. Although not all patients have Christian beliefs, healthcare providers, when appropriate, can provide Christian perspectives to bring patients comfort during the stress of illness. In this article, a family nurse practitioner working with cancer patients shares how she lives out her spirituality in everyday nurse practitioner practice.
