In this issue of The Journal of Nursing Research, 8 articles are included. Among them, 2 conduct scale development and psychometric testing, 1 performs a meta-analysis of existing literature, and others use a comparative and correlational design. The study participants include both healthy and chronic disease populations as well as nursing students. A wide range of topics/concepts are examined in these studies, including self-care behavior, quality of life, information-seeking behavior, self-directed learning, psychological cigarette dependence, parenting style, attitude toward technology, and depression.

On behalf of the JNR, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the scholars who chose to submit their distinguished works to our journal. I would also like to extend my appreciation to the reviewers and editors for taking the time and effort necessary to provide such insightful guidance to the authors to increase the fit of the papers with the journal, to clarify the methodology, and to provide interesting and balanced discussion of the study's results.

Last but not least, the Journal encourages the submission of reports on randomized controlled clinical trials. The JNR strongly encourages authors to adopt appropriate reporting guidelines in order to improve the accuracy and transparency of their work.
