In the article that appeared on page 219 of the September/October 2013 issue there was an error. On page 225 under the Pulmonary Disease header, the second sentence should have read "Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which included emphysema and chronic bronchitis, is the third leading cause of death in the United States (http://www.lungusa.org)." It is not the leading cause.

The author regrets the error.
