Abstract
ABTRACT: Injectable agents for facial rejuvenation have become increasingly popular over the past several years. The role of nurses in administering these products is well established and continues to expand. The expert injector must be able to not only achieve optimal aesthetic outcomes but also to preserve patient safety and to recognize and treat complications. While numerous educational courses are available, there is no standardization of content nor is there a recognized pathway to competence. We outline a unique educational approach through which a nurse who had no previous experience administering neurotoxins or soft tissue fillers became an expert injector.
