Abstract
Nurse leaders and telemetry unit staff work together to change the way nurses conduct shift report.
This is the first article in a new series on leadership, coordinated by the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), highlighting how nurses are leading change efforts in hospitals. It describes work done in conjunction with the AONE's Care Innovation and Transformation initiative, which provides leadership development and educational opportunities to nurse managers and staff aimed at supporting nurses at the point of care in making changes to improve the quality and safety of patient care.
