Abstract
Same-handed patient room design has been noted to improve patient and nurse outcomes. This facility design article expands the knowledge of nurse leaders and their competencies in health facility design, enabling them to take leadership roles in design efforts. This article explores assumptions and anecdotal and empirical evidence about the same-handed room design concept.
