Abstract

Abstract: In the pediatric population, the risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) is lower and less defined than in adults, making the diagnosis easy to overlook. Signs and symptoms in children are usually vague, so nurse practitioners need to be aware of what to look for and how to manage VTE in children.
