Dignity and Ethics in Nursing Education
I used Donal P. O'Mathuna's article "The Place of Dignity" (Vol. 28, No. 1) for my first day of Ethics class. Our devotional centered on Imago Dei and students had to write an abstract of the article, and/or do a culture watch on this article. It was a perfect accompaniment reinforcing everything I had hoped to say. And, of course, my students got an intro to JCN. Thank you for publishing quality material that lends itself to good reading, classroom instruction, and discipleship training all in one.

Errata
Please note corrections to the article, "Are Parish Nurses Prepared to Incorporate the Spiritual Dimension into Practice?" Volume 28, No. 3, pp. 146-151. On page 148:
* Information incorrectly states Granger Westberg was a physician. The Reverend Dr. Granger Westberg was a hospital chaplain and medical school professor.
* The article states the International Parish Nurse Resource Center (IPNRC) is the educational arm of the Health Ministries Association (HMA). The IPNRC was established as the Parish Nurse Resource Center in 1986 by Lutheran General Hospital System and later became the IPNRC. The IPNRC and HMA are separate organizations.
* HMA and the American Nurses Association (ANA) both published the Scope and Standards of Parish Nursing (1998) and Faith Community Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice (2008).
JCN apologizes for any inconvenience this information may have caused.
