Abstract
Is there a relationship between nursing student's anxiety levels and orientation to life, optimism, or pessimism? Participants are 1st year nursing students prior to the first acute care clinical experience in a small, Midwestern city in the United States. An inverse relationship is noted between student's life orientation and level of anxiety.
