Over the past few years we've made changes to JCN. A lot of changes. Nurses Christian Fellowship joined with Wolters Kluwer Health | Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, our publisher, to produce JCN and launched an amazing partnership. JCN became a full color journal and we have continually updated and redesigned the journal with fresh looks and ideas. We've become an online journal, fully archived back to Volume 1 (1984) at http://www.journalofchristiannursing.com and http://www.nursingcenter.com. We are fully peer-reviewed. Our continuing education is online and fully automated so you can earn CE credits and print certificates in a matter of minutes (NCF members receive significant discounts!!). Nursing experts address important issues of concern from a Christian worldview in our continuing education and feature articles. We've added new columns, offering focused content in appealing, concise packages. JCN departments encourage nurses in practice, advance practice, educators, students, and parish nurses; answer questions about spiritual care and ethical dilemmas; and examine lessons we can learn from nursing history. A new column premiering in the October-December issue will offer insights on the essentials skills and biblical thinking important for Christian nursing. There's truly something for everyone in JCN!!
One thing we have not done in JCN is get your feedback. With all of the changes, are we meeting your needs? During the month of July you'll have the opportunity to tell us exactly what you think of JCN by taking our online Reader Survey at http://www.journalofchristiannursing.com. The survey should take you less than 6-8 minutes to complete. Include your name and e-mail address at the end of the survey and you will be entered into a raffle to win one of ten $100 American Express gift cards. Your contact information will only be used to contact you if you are a winner. The survey will close and we will be drawing the winners from the pool of completed surveys on July 30, 2010.
Thank you for your ongoing support of JCN and for taking the time to offer your feedback. Feel free to contact our editorial office any time with your ideas or concerns.
