SGNA: The Link Between Practice and Care

 

The Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates, Inc. (SGNA) is soliciting presentation abstracts for the 2011 Annual Course. We welcome proposals that have innovative and practical application for nurses and associates in the practice of gastroenterology and endoscopy.

 

Abstracts will be reviewed according to the following criteria:

 

* Relationship to the Course theme

 

* Clarity of description of the content and presentation methods

 

* Importance, depth, focus, level of audience interest

 

* Feasibility of application to a variety of settings

 

* Presenter's professional background and speaking

 

* experience

 

* Originality of topic/presentation

 

 

The grid below lists the types of sessions.

 

The 2011 Program Committee is especially interested in presentations on the following topics, though all abstracts are welcome:

 

* GI Diseases

 

* Procedures (ERCP, EUS, etc.)

 

* Legal issues

 

* Legislative

 

* Unlicensed Assistive Personnel

 

* Research Study

 

* Manometry

 

* Pediatric

 

* Pulmonary

 

* Emerging Technology

 

 

The Committee would also like to see more abstracts submitted that would benefit those professionals learning at the Proficient and Expert levels.

 

Abstracts should be within 200 words and should include how you plan to present your material. This can be submitted via the SGNA Web site at: http://www.sgna.org/Education/events/AnnualCourse/2011/index.cfm

 

Abstracts must be received no later than June 4, 2010.

 

These reviews will be blind; rating will be done without knowledge of presenters' names and/or affiliations. Applicants will be notified of the Program Committee's decision by August 13, 2010.
