Abstract
Public perceptions of people who are homeless tend to be negative, perpetuating unfair treatment. This study investigated the effect of a 3.5-hour interaction with homeless people on baccalaureate (BSN) students, including students' descriptions of the characteristics of the homeless. The BSN nursing students who interacted face-to-face with homeless people experienced positive changes in their perceptions of this population.
