Founded in 2010, NCAPDA educates the public about preventing substance use disorder (SUD) related to prescription drugs and opioids. NCAPDA's programs include the "Build a School Awareness" and the "Life's Too Good" campaigns, which are focused on helping young people stay substance-free.

Overdose Lifeline is a nonprofit that helps individuals and families affected by SUD through education, preventive treatment, and emergency services. It offers a training course, "Removing the Shame and Stigma of Addiction/SUD," which aims to help remove the stigma associated with SUD and eliminate discrimination and bias in the care of these patients.

 

Phoenix House

The Phoenix House supports individuals and their families affected by substance use and mental health disorders. They have 10 recovery facilities across the US where they utilize cognitive behavioral therapies, trauma-informed methods, and patient-centered approaches. Their goal is to help low-income, underserved, and uninsured communities to give them "a second chance at a life they never thought was possible."

With over 50 facilities across the US, Gaudenzia is dedicated to helping people overcome SUD by ensuring access to affordable and inclusive healthcare. Gaudenzia also has specialized programs focused on withdrawal management, support for SUD prevention and recovery, and housing assistance.
