Abstract

Abstract: Resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of the aorta (REBOA) has reemerged as a treatment for noncompressible torso hemorrhage. This article discusses indications and contraindications for REBOA, describes the procedure, and reviews critical care nursing considerations for patients undergoing REBOA.
