The CDC's COVID-19 page for healthcare professionals includes the COVID-19Surge tool, a spreadsheet-based resource that hospital leaders can use to estimate the surge in demand for hospital-based services during the pandemic. It also provides a clinician on-call center and a personal protective equipment (PPE) burn rate calculator that can help healthcare facilities plan and optimize their use of PPE during the pandemic. Clinicians can sign up to receive emailed updates through the CDC's Health Alert Network with the latest alerts, advisories, and updates about COVID-19 and other urgent public health issues.
