CDC publishes 2020 adult immunization schedule. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) released its 2020 adult immunization schedule. Changes include hepatitis A vaccine for all patients with HIV who are at least one year of age; meningococcal B vaccine for patients 10 years of age and older at increased risk for meningococcal B, such as those who are immunocompromised or in an outbreak area; and human papillomavirus for all adults up to 26 years who have not been fully vaccinated. Additionally, the ACIP recommends that seniors should no longer routinely receive the 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, but rather make an individual decision after discussion with their provider. Routine vaccination of all seniors with pneumococcal 23-valent polysaccharide vaccine is still recommended.
