Abstract
Clinical nutrition managers (CNMs) administer clinical nutrition and other services. An online survey was distributed to CNMs to examine the importance of education for specific CNM job tasks, the extent to which educational needs are met, and what opportunities exist to enhance the knowledge and skills of CNM practitioners. Gap analyses were employed to interpret variances in the educational variables. Results indicate that CNMs perceive education as important for all job tasks and that educational needs are not being met for all job tasks. The greatest opportunities for education were with ensuring compliance with regulations and accreditation standards and managing human and financial resources.
