New Officers.Courtney H. Lyder, ND, GNP, FAAN, has been elected President of the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP) for 2002. Dr Lyder is Director of Yale School of Nursing's Adult, Family Gerontological and Women's Health Division and Director of the newly created Program for the Advancement of Chronic Wound Care.

Advance America Honor Roll. The American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), Bethesda, MD, has been elected to the 2002 Associations Advance America Honor Roll, a national awards competition sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), Washington, DC. The APMA received the award for its 2 public service announcement campaigns in 2001. APMA worked with nationally syndicated columnist Dr Joyce Brothers and FOX sports broadcaster James Brown to create public service announcements that alert people with diabetes to the importance of having a yearly foot exam.
