NACNS recently supplied volunteer reviewers to provide input into new CNS examination preparation materials that ANCC is developing. Thanks to the many members who responded to the call for volunteers.

The NACNS was recently contacted by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Corporation (NLNAC) to nominate "practicing" CNSs for NLNAC review teams. Criteria and the nomination forms are available on the NLNAC Web page at http://www.nlnac.org/call_for_ practitioners.

ATTENTION PENNSYLVANIA CNSs

Plans continue for a legislative initiative to obtain title protection for Pennsylvania CNSs. NACNS representatives are working with representatives of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association and the Pennsylvania chapter of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association on a strategy to amend the Nurse Practice Act to authorize the State Board of Nursing to recognize CNSs. NACNS members residing in Pennsylvania will receive an informational update about progress and plans.
