Wyoming CE Requirements for License Renewal
As a nurse in the state of Wyoming, continuing education hours are not mandatory but optional to renew your active license. All of our CE activities are accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
Renewal Requirements
RN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education if employed less than 200 hours in the past 2 years, or 15 hours of continuing education and 200 hours of active nursing practice in the past 2 years, or 400 hours of active nursing practice in the past 2 years
LPN
- Every two years
- 30 hours of continuing education if employed less than 200 hours in the past 2 years, or 15 hours of continuing education and 200 hours of active nursing practice in the past 2 years, or 400 hours of active nursing practice in the past 2 years
Advanced Practice
- Every two years
- 60 hours of continuing education related to APRN recognized role and population focus area (if recognized as an APRN in the State prior to January 1, 1999, and has maintained continuous licensure, but is not nationally certified)
- 3 hours related to responsible prescribing of controlled substances or treatment of substance abuse disorders for APRN with prescriptive authority
