Abstract

The pain classification ML model AUC far exceeded that of NICU nurses for identifying neonatal pain. These findings will inform the development of a continuous, unbiased, brain-based, nurse-in-the-loop Pain Recognition Automated Monitoring System (PRAMS) for neonates and infants.
