I received my MCN today, and I was particularly drawn to your editorial entitled "Another Hero for All of Us." (MCN, 30 [5]). I stopped watching ER almost at the outset because I couldn't stand its portrayal of nurses. My students used to come to clinical postconference excited about ER the night before, but it has always made me upset to see the things that nurses do routinely done by MDs in that show and others. So thanks for expressing my viewpoint so succinctly.
