This issue of Infants and Young Children (IYC) introduces a new column called Family Stories. Each Family Story is designed to provide readers of IYC with personal accounts of a family's experiences with the early intervention system. Accounts of successes and failures, descriptions of good experiences and bad ones, suggestions on how to improve the system as a consequence of those experiences, or comments that simply compliment the system on its good work and the impact it has had on the lives of families, could all be included as part of this new column. The idea is to present stories that complement the more professionally oriented articles that comprise the remainder of the journal. I also hope that readers will find connections between Family Stories and their own work.
