On behalf of the entire 2003 Program Committee, I am proud to invite you to the 18th Annual Meeting of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. The national Annual Meeting fosters AACVPR's main goals: to improve clinical practice, to promote scientific inquiry, and to advance education for the benefit of healthcare professionals and the public. The AACVPR Annual Meeting is a great time to reconnect with old friends, meet new associates, and enjoy a new part of our country. Kansas City, here we come! Our 2003 host is known as "The City of Fountains." But, perhaps, it is better known for the city's famous barbecue and rich jazz tradition. The Program Committee, in conjunction with our local affiliate society, has put together an optional event "menu" that features these traditions, not to mention the preeminent shopping in the Midwest. We look forward to greeting you at another successful meeting this year. The knowledge you take home will enhance your practice, enrich your career, and ultimately improve our field as a whole.
