Abstract

Disseminating evidence analysis findings is paramount to maximizing implementation in dietetic practice. Key information needed by registered dietitians to implement the new resting metabolic rate determination procedures was extracted from an American Dietetic Association (ADA) Evidence Analysis project and incorporated into an appendix to ADA's Evidence-Based Guides for Nutrition Practice. The material was evaluated by 26 dietitians in the Dietetics Practice-Based Research Network (DPBRN) to ensure that information was complete and presented in a meaningful way. The usefulness, readability, clarity, informative, comprehensive, and frequency of use of the components were, for the most part, evaluated favorably. The findings have implications for future material to be included in ADA Evidence-Based Guides for Nutrition Practice and future research projects conducted through the DPBRN.
