How might AI affect the work of nurses, now and in the future? In AJN Reports, "Artificial Intelligence and Nursing: Promise and Precaution," senior editor Jacob Molyneux takes a close look at how AI is being used in health care and nursing, what considerations and questions it's raising, and why nurses need to take part in its development. "Nurses involved in the AI field argue that the future is arriving faster than we think," he writes, "and it's crucial for nurses to play a more active role in developing and implementing AI tools." The article also features insight from leaders in nursing informatics, who offer their observations on the challenges and benefits of integrating AI into practice. Additionally, in this month's editorial, "A Perspective on Artificial Intelligence," AJN editor-in-chief Carl A.
