Navigating a faculty meeting can be challenging for new nurse educators. A faculty meeting typically includes words, phrases, and rules that are unfamiliar. Thus, to better prepare new educators for their role, a simulated faculty meeting was established to help train and build confidence in students enrolled in a master of science in nursing education program. The students were assigned a task/topic to present at the meeting; some examples include NextGen NCLEX, textbook changes, clinical placement, lack of clinical facilities, academic dishonesty, and student professionalism. Students were asked to prepare an infographic for all attendees on their presented subject to help with the learning continuum. Three weeks before the simulated virtual meeting, the students were sent an agenda, minutes from a previous "meeting" to approve, a link to the virtual meeting, and instructions for their prework. During the prebriefing, we covered Robert's rules and how to conduct yourself in a meeting professionally. The course professor chaired the faculty meeting to model the expected behavior, and a student was elected to serve as the secretary. Each nurse educator student was given 5 to 10 minutes to present their topic and allow time for voting and discussion. During the debriefing, students overwhelmingly noted they enjoyed this activity, and it provided insight that helped increase their knowledge and confidence.
