Abstract

Despite the benefits of effective onboarding, the onboarding of experienced RNs (ERNs) is largely overlooked and rarely examined. This article presents the findings of a descriptive study exploring ERNs' onboarding within an organizational socialization framework. Increased involvement, support, and investment from nurse leaders are needed to optimize the process.
