Abstract
Research is most helpful when it is used to inform practice and policy. This article reports on a research project conducted collaboratively with the Alzheimer's Association, which obtained data to inform the Campaign for Quality in Residential Care. It describes the collaborative research process and the data that helped focus the Campaign on select domains of quality of life. It also overviews the next steps to evaluate the outcomes of the Campaign, examine to what extent it can be implemented as planned, and understand the conditions under which the new practices are adopted and sustained.
